A 65-year-old female comes to your practice for her multifocal contact lens dispensing appointment.
During the fitting exam, you thought she was a fun, outgoing person; but, at today's visit, her behavior seems odd. She's making incoherent remarks, balancing the occluder paddle on her nose, and her speech is slurred.
She has a negative medical history of hypertension or diabetes. You supect she might be high or drunk. She did drive herself to your office.
What do you do?
